Employment

Employment

Members of Terra Firma Chambers offer expert advocacy and advice for employers, employees and contract workers across a wide range of employment law issues. A number of our members appear before Employment Tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal, in addition to the Scottish courts, and in mediation and arbitration on behalf of clients.

Our counsel are available to advise in writing or in consultation at an early stage of a potential dispute, and provide advice about internal disciplinary procedures and obtaining of urgent interim protection by way of interdict where appropriate.

Our members' expertise covers all aspects of employment rights, including recruitment and selection, parental leave, flexible working, unfair and wrongful dismissal, constructive dismissal, redundancy, breach of contract, equality and discrimination, equal pay, disciplinary and grievance procedures, TUPE transfers, restrictive covenants and the protection of confidential information, "garden leave" and Trade Union law.
