During her traineeship, Faryma acted in a wide range of commercial and private client matters.  Following completion of her traineeship Faryma accepted a position as assistant public solicitor on the British Overseas Territory of St Helena where she practised both civil and criminal law. Faryma represented citizens in both the St Helena Magistrates Court and St Helena Supreme Court, against the St Helena government.

Faryma called to the Bar in 2015 and over the course of her career has gained experience in a range of areas. Her particular interests include public law, contract, intellectual property, and unjustified enrichment.

Following a few years of practice, Faryma took a break from legal practice to gain experience of the financial industry through working at Baillie Gifford. During that time Faryma obtained the CFA UK’s Certificate in Investment Management and passed the CFA Institute’s CFA Level One exam. During her time as an investment professional at Baillie Gifford, Faryma gained invaluable insight into the pensions industry, the workings of listed companies, financial regulations (including MiFID II), and taxation. Having discovered her penchant for financial analysis and taxation, Faryma is currently working towards qualification as a Chartered Tax Advisor to complement her practice at the Bar.
