The Edinburgh branch of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and Brodies LLP, supported by Edinburgh Tax Network and Terra Firma Chambers, will host a LBTT Update seminar at Brodies, 58 Morrison Street, Edinburgh EH3 8BP on 9th October 2025.

At this event, Isobel d’Inverno CTA, Head of Corporate Tax & Incentives at Brodies LLP will provide an update on the following:-

• Scottish Government Review of LBTT, including the three yearly lease review regime 
• Recent significant LBTT cases including the Archer case on extensions of leases
• Proposed new reliefs for investment funds

Registration and networking will commence at 12.30pm with the seminar starting at 1pm. The seminar has been accredited by the Faculty of Advocates as contributing 1 hour of CPD for its own members and is eligible for a similar award from the Law Society for the solicitor branch of the profession.
