Terra Firma Chambers’ position as one of the leading stables at the Scottish Bar has been recognised in the latest edition of the Legal 500.

In the new rankings, released online yesterday, Terra Firma maintained its ranking as a leading set for Administrative and Public Law, Employment, and Property, Planning and Construction.  In addition, the stable received a new Tier 1 ranking for Private Client with its members noted for being active in ‘complex cases involving tax and trust law matters’: ‘Terra Firma is home to a broad range of talent.’

Terra Firma’s position as the pre-eminent stable for planning was re-affirmed with instructing solicitors describing it as ‘the go-to stable for planning law specialists in Scotland’. The latest edition also highlights the stable’s ‘excellent reputation for its expertise in property law matters’.

Terra Firma is one of only two stables recognised for Employment Law, receiving a Tier 1 ranking: ‘The employment team at Terra Firma Chambers has a solid track record in handling unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and TUPE disputes, and continues to advise on a high volume of discrimination cases.’

In addition, TFC members received 25 individual rankings across core practice areas, including four for Commercial Disputes and a Tier 1 ranking for leading silk Roddy McIlvride KC.  Fred Mackintosh KC was again ranked as a leading silk under Crime and Regulatory.
