David Logan acted for husband and wife publicans who had been given a policy by a Lloyds Broker. The policy gave them flood cover but Lloyds claimed this was a mistake by the Broker and outwith his actual or ostensible authority. Lady Clark of Carlton held that Lloyds were bound by the policy and ordered Lloyds to indemnify the pursuers in terms of the cover. A copy of the decision is available here.
