The COVID pandemic has temporarily brought a halt to the Edinburgh Tax Network’s regular ‘in person’ lunchtime seminars however, with the support of Terra Firma Chambers and the Chartered Institute of Taxation, the talks will continue be presented using a virtual format.
The first webinar, entitled ‘Keep Calm and Carry On’ with speaker Alex Docherty of Johnston Carmichael, will take broadcast live on Wednesday 20th May 2020 at 1pm. During the webinar, Alex will discuss current tax planning opportunities and look ahead to what proactive planning can be undertaken in a post COVID world. Alex has been in tax for over 19 years and specialises in all aspects of tax for private clients and their owner managed businesses. Her areas of expertise include capital gains tax, inheritance tax, tax efficient structuring and overseas tax matters, which makes her ideally placed to explore this important topic.
There is no charge for attendance but registration is required. To sign up, please visit https://www.tax.org.uk/membership-and-events/local-branches/united-kingdom/edinburgh
