Julius Komorowski will be one of the key speakers at the Academy of European Law’s Seminar on Recent Case Law of The European Court of Human Rights in Criminal Matters to be held in Strasbourg from 25th to 26 November 2015.
The seminar will provide legal practitioners with an update on the case law developed by the European Court of Human Rights – mainly in 2014 and 2015 – with relevance for criminal law and criminal procedure.
Part one of the seminar covers Investigation, Prosecution and Detention with Julius addressing delegates on i) the Obligation to conduct an effective investigation and the right to life (Art. 2 ECHR); and ii) the Obligations on police and penitentiary authorities regarding persons in custody (Art. 3 ECHR).
