Aberdeen University Lawyers without Borders have been running their inaugural International Advocacy Competition with students competing for the opportunity to take part in a mini devilling week hosted by Terra Firma Chambers.

Terra Firma Chambers’ Fergus Thomson will be one of the legal judges when the competition reaches its zenith tonight with two finalists battling it out for the grand prize.  The winner will join TFC for a mini devilling placement this summer where they will have the chance to shadow members, undertake some practical work and gain an insight into the devilling process and life at the Scottish Bar.

Aberdeen University Lawyers without Borders is a student society that seeks to support the work of the Parent Organisation, Lawyers without Border, a global group of volunteer lawyers who offer pro bono services to rule of law projects, capacity building and access to justice initiatives.
