Steven Walker of Terra Firma Chambers is co-directing three training courses this Autumn as part of the University of Dundee's Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP) Professional Development seminars programme.  These courses explore the legal and practical issues relating to arbitration, mediation and dispute resolution in the energy and natural resources sector.

The 5-day Oil, Gas and Minerals: International Arbitration and Advocacy Skills course will be held in London from 5 – 9 September and will provide perspectives from legal experts, trial and in-house counsel, international arbitrators, and academics.

The Commercial Arbitrators Accreditation course is a 3-day residential conference in Dunblane from 16 – 18 September. This course provides the requisite training to equip prospective arbitrators with the necessary skills to conduct domestic and international arbitrations in accordance with the best contemporary practice and standards.

Terra Firma Chambers’ William Frain-Bell will co-direct the 5-day Natural Resource Mediation course, which will be held in Dundee from 26 – 30 September.  This course will be split between the teaching of the theories behind mediation as a tool for effective dispute resolution and the teaching of the skills required to be an effective mediator.
