Members of Terra Firma Chambers have considerable experience in advising and representing housing associations, local authorities, private landlords and tenants in all aspects of housing law. Housing issues that have been dealt with by our members include: stock transfers; various matters relating to the creation and termination of assured, short assured, and scottish secure tenancies; succession to tenancies; landlord and tenant obligations; registered rents and appeals; service charges; repairs notices; tenant's right to buy; homelessness; compulsory purchase; home loss and disturbance payments; the effect of the Human Rights Act 1998 and the Race Relations Act 1976; and anti-social behaviour orders. Related areas in which members of Chambers have also advised or represented clients include council tax, housing benefit, and conservation areas/listed buildings. A member of Chambers (Robert Sutherland) was Editor of Greens Housing Law Reports from 1996-1999.
