About Us

Terra Firma Chambers were formed on 4 January 2008. Its Chairman until July 2012 was Roy Martin QC. The current Chairman is J. Gordon Reid QC. Most members of Terra Firma Chambers practice in more than one area of work, allowing them to bring a breadth of experience to each case.

Members of Terra Firma Chambers represent clients in litigation, arbitration, mediation, and adjudication. Our members also have considerable experience of appearing in public inquiries, and before a wide variety of tribunals, local authority committees and licensing boards.

Terra Firma Chambers also provides an arbitration service TFArb with certain members being appointed by parties to act as arbitrators to resolve disputes in a speedy and cost-effective manner. Members have also acted as expert determiners to resolve disputes as experts rather than arbitrators.
